How It Works

The Anti-Tarnish  Coating

Jewellery built to stay beautiful through daily wear — here's exactly what the coating does, and how to help it last.

Why Jewellery Tarnishes

Ordinary silver and gold-toned jewellery reacts with moisture, oxygen, and everyday products — perfume, sweat, lotion — causing the surface to dull and discolour over time. It’s a chemical reaction, not a flaw in the metal, but it’s the reason so much jewellery ends up in a drawer within a year.

Our Coating

Our pieces are coated with tested and trusted anti-tarnish barrier, sealing the surface against the moisture and oxidation that cause tarnish. Paired with the care steps in our Care Guide, it keeps pieces looking new through regular wear.

If Something Feels Off

We’re confident in the quality of every piece we sell, and we want you to be too. If a piece arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, reach out through Contact with your order number and a photo — we’ll sort it out under our Returns policy.

Keep in Mind

A few things affect how long the coating holds up: submerging jewellery in water, chlorine, or seawater; contact with perfume, hairspray, or lotion applied after the piece is worn; and physical damage like bent clasps or scratches from impact. See our Care Guide for tips on making it last.
